Apple Crumble...


Ingredients

  • 4 large apple - peeled, cored and cubed
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  •  

  • Crumble Topping:
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
  • (brown sugar optional)


Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Boil apple slices, sugar, brown sugar and cinnamon in a pot of water for 5 to 10 minutes or till tender. Arrange cooked apples in a 8x8 baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, and sugar. Cut in butter until mixture is fine and crumbly. Sprinkle topping over apples
  3. Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until crumble is crisp and golden in color.
Best served hot. 
Optional top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
